May 2016

Dear Children,

Thank you so much for all your amazing outdoor learning pictures, thoughts and suggestions.  We gathered lots of lovely ideas for our garden; wind chimes, fruits and vegetable planting, wildflowers, bluebells, snowdrops, hedgehog houses and wormeries. There were even suggestions of a wildflower train and a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sound bridge!  We also loved the class sunflower challenge which is already underway.  I am sure we will be able to add some of these things to our garden to create a better wilderness.  We also had some fabulous names for our garden which, with your help, we have finally decided to call The Wild Garden.

We have now been busy planting, digging, laying turf and watering; and this is still just the beginning!

Take a look at these photos from a few of our planting days.

We look forward to continuing our work together,

Kind regards,

Jane and Josie (Emily’s mummy and Joe’s mummy)
