As part of ‘Bernards Heath University’ children have had the chance to learn an instrument called the Ocarina. It is a small hollow plastic instrument with four round holes. You make a sound by blowing through the mouthpiece and covering different holes to make the different notes. On Thursday the Year 1 children who have been learning to play the ocarina played ‘London’s Burning’ to an audience of Year 1 and 2 in the hall. Everyone joined in with the words the second time round and we all clapped at the end. Well done to Mrs Griffin and the Year 1 ocarina players for all the hard work needed to learn this new skill!
