It was very exciting to see everyone back at school this morning and hear the shared feeling on the playground that it felt good to shed the pyjamas and get back into school uniform and routine.
In assembly this morning I enjoyed hearing about how Year 1 and 2 had celebrated the New Year. Lots of children then talked confidently about their New Year resolution. We understood a resolution was something we might want to change, start or stop. From learning to ride a bike without stabilisers, making their bed every morning and walking their dog the children shared their thoughts about how 2020 will be a great year for them.
Evie in Year 2 talked about 2020 being the year she moves to the Junior School, Zach told us about his plans to move house, Torr is looking forward to celebrating his Grandmas 70th birthday and Sofia shared her political intentions.
We left assembly feeling very positive and definitely looking forward to the year ahead. I hope you too had a break away from school and I wish you all the best for a healthy and happy 2020.
