Road Safety
Bernards Heath Infant, Nursery and Junior Schools are committed to keeping our children safe. The Governors at both schools have secured improvements including: new school safety signs and getting the trees cut back to ensure these signs are visible to motorists.
The curriculum includes learning opportunities for children to increase their awareness of how to keep themselves safe. In the summer term children in Year 2 had ‘Scooter Training’ as part of Healthy Living Week and Foundation Stage children learnt about how to safely cross the road.
We ask our parents to avoid using Upper Culver Road for parking as the only place to turn around is outside our pedestrian side gate. This is an unsafe place to turn when children are coming to school or leaving at the end of the school day.
