SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
At Bernards Heath Infant and Nursery School we value every child as an individual, and acknowledge that every child’s needs are different. We are a fully inclusive school and it is our belief that all children have an equal right to a broad and balanced curriculum which ensures that they make progress academically and in their personal, social and emotional development.
Our SENCO is Mrs Suzanne Steadman, she works alongside all staff to deliver what is set out in the school’s SEND Policy. Our offer for children with SEND is clearly set out in our Send Information Report (School Local Offer). Our School Local Offer fits in with the Hertfordshire Local Offer which can be found hertfordshire.gov.uk website. The Hertfordshire SEND Quality Offer can be found here.
Our SENCO works two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday) and can be contacted via the school office (01727 852106).
